It’s a live!! The Falmouth Road Race website was just launched. It took a while to propagate through the internets, but now you should be able to see all our hard work on the site. We did a very nice updateable database for them and google map of the race. Can’t wait for the next phase…. which will bring some cool interactivity not found on any other race site. Check it out!
Riding season is here and I have been training. Not as much as I should be but training non the less. You can check out my training at OutforaRide.com. I just put in 72.2 miles the other day in preparation for the MS ride. I have ridden almost 500 miles so far this season. My goal is to get to 2,000 this year.
The MS ride will be a 2 day event starting in Quincy, MA and riding all the way to Provincetown on Cape Cod covering 175 miles. They’re calling it the Cape Cod Getaway. It will be great to help the Multiple Sclerosis Society as it is a good cause. Please if you can support my ride by donating I would greatly appreciate it. I have a goal to raise $1,000! Today we just launched the Cape Cod Travel Guide website which was a pretty big endeavor. It is a revamp over the old website and the start of some great Cape Cod Technology. Along with the new Travel Guide website we launched the new Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce website. The Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce owns both sites now. We have redone the sites using a shiny new Ruby on Rails framework and have web services delivering data to the sites. Check them out. It’s all the start of some really great new possibilities on the Cape.
A great group of tech savvy people located on Cape Cod have just launched an online publication we call @Bar. It is a great site with articles and stories of a Tech and cape cod nature with some fun pieces like Martini Monday, Tech Start Tuesday and The Beta list. It’s informative and entertaining, visit the site subscribe, read an article and discuss it!

The OpenCape project is going to bring major bandwidth to Cape Cod. We just finished the website and it is now live. It brings you all the info about the project, people involved and even all the wireless antennas. If we can get OpenCape working then we will have the bandwith we need to operate tech businesses here on Cape Cod. Then maybe Verizon and Comcast will treat us with a little respect.
